subham Problems and Solutions Leave a Comment

There are a lot of problems with the Windows operating system. However, getting stuck in an Windows 10 Automatic Repair Loop is the most hated problem a Windows user might come across. It takes place after you’ve installed an update or software.

While you are facing this issue, you won’t be able to access the advanced settings option. So if you are stuck with a problem like this, then you are at the right place, as this article has a solution to the Windows 10 Automatic Repair Loop problem.

How to Get rid of Automatic Repair Loop on Windows 10?

This problem mainly occurs because of changes made to the registry. No one searches for such things until and unless it happens to them, so if you are someone who’s facing this then you’ll be more interested in the solution, rather than knowing more about the problem.

So let’s begin with the steps to solve the Windows 10 Automatic repair loop. If you are good with hardware removal and have the kit with you then you shall try removing the RAM, sometimes that solves the problem. If it doesn’t, then you shall begin with the below methods.

Requirements

  • A Bootable USB drive (Windows 10)
  • Windows 10 PC

Method 1: Restore Registry

  1. Boot your PC from the bootable USB drive.
  2. You’ll see the installation screen, select the language which you are comfortable with and begin with and another screen will appear.
  3. Click on Repair your computer. Boot From USB to Get Rid Of Windows 10 Automatic Repair
  4. You’ll see a new screen with three options, select “Troubleshoot” option.
  5. In the troubleshoot screen, you’ll see two options, “Reset this PC” and “Advanced options.” Click on advanced options. Choose Troubleshoot
  6. In the advanced options screen, there’ll be five options. Find out the command prompt and click on the command prompt option.Open Command Prompt To Stop Windows 10 Automatic Repair
  7. Now Restore the registry by entering the below command copy c:\windows\system32\config\RegBack\* c:\windows\system32\config
  8. Click on the Enter button after entering the above command.
  9. You will be prompted with a message asking “Do you want to overwrite all the files?” If you do get it then, write “Yes.”
  10. Once you’ve completed the above steps, write quit in the command prompt, remove the bootable USB, and restart your computer.

If the issue was because of some problems made to the registry, the error must have gone. However, if the problem is not solved yet, you can begin with method two we’ve mentioned. Method two basically disables the “Automatic Repair” option from the system.

We don’t recommend this, but that could be the only way you shall get access to your data. Once you get access to the data, you can take a backup of it and format your system and do a fresh installation.

Method 2: Disable Windows 10 Automatic Repair

Follow the steps mentioned in method one till the 6th step, after you reach the command prompt start with the below steps

  1. In the command prompt type “bcdedit” and hit Enter.
  2. Find “resumeobject” and note down the number which is mentioned next to it.
  3. After noting down the number enter bcdedit /set <the number you noted down> recoveryenabled no
  4. So it should look like bcdedit /set 28282882828 recoveryenabled no
  5. Reboot your PC, and it should work.

Method 3: Do a Disk check and system check

If the above two methods haven’t worked for you, don’t worry, we have another tested method which would surely help you solve the Automatic repair loop problem on your Windows 10 PC. Follow the below steps to perform a disk check and system check on Windows 10 PC.

(Open the command prompt as administrator)
