Lenovo is all set to launch a new device which is nothing but an upgraded version of the Lenovo A6000. The news got out at Banglore where Flipkart had held their Live Flash sale. The phone is named Lenovo A6000 Plus.
The Director of Lenovo Smartphones, Sudhin Mathur, India said that they are overwhelmed with the response for Lenovo A6000 which inspired them to come out with a much better upgraded model.
Lenovo A6000 Plus Specs
The device will be an improvised model of the A6000. The major upgrade is done with the RAM and the internal storage. The RAM goes to 2 GB from 1 GB and the internal storage is of 16 GB which was 8 GB in the previous device.
Lenovo hasn’t got many issues with the pricing. The A6000 comes at Rs 6499 and the A7000 at Rs 7999. The only window available is at Rs 6499, which would most probably make the A6000owners a bit upset, who would have been ready to pay the extra 500 for the up gradation.
The screen size remains same at 5 inch, with HD IPS display. It uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.2 GHz quad-core processor alongside Adreno 306 GPU. It has a 2300 mAh battery which might look like a disappointment compared to the upgraded features. The device will run on Android KitKat 4.4 along with Lenovo’s Vibe UI. The phone has Dolby Digital Plus Dual speakers.
The launch of this phone could cause a dilemma for new buyers. Our prediction is that the phone would be bought by people who find the A7000 too large to fit in. The A7000 is 5.5 inch large. Both the phones have got 8 MP main camera and 5 MP secondary camera.
Outside its own company, the Lenovo A6000 plus will face tough competition from Huawei Honor Holly, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, HTC Desire 516 Dual SIM and the Asus ZenFon 5.
The phone will be sold online exclusively on Flipkart. Lenovo’s flash sales have been highly successful for Flipkart in the past. Earlier this year, Flipkart had sold 30000 devices in only 4 seconds.
