Tanmay Android Leave a Comment

In Android market, you will find many applications for free download and you may be willing to make your mobile multi tasking as your Laptop or Desktop. These days the smartphones are smarter enough and they have nice and fast processor which powers up them for multitasking.
Who doesn’t wan to run more than one application if possible in any device? Is you are using lot of applications together, you need to learn How to switch between apps  in Android from one app to another without even closing them. The process is really cool and simple..Yaah!! I meant it, check it out. (Also check out Android cell tracker app.)
Since, you need to continue the running apps together, you might want to switch to the app running behind and bring it to the front of the screen of your Android. May be, this process is quite different from other mobile.
Power-Recent-applications switcher
All you need to do is, tapping and holding the ‘Home’ button on the Android screen for few seconds and this will drop down the list containing the running apps and sometimes it also contain other option such as Silent mode, Airplane mode, Power off and Recent applications. Then tap the ‘Recent applications’. When the list will appear on the screen, simply tap on it to bring the app in front.

How to tap on ‘Recent applications’

To list out the recent opened application, follow the path Menu > Settings > Running Services at your Android. You will find the list of all running applications. Now, just tap on any application which bring the menu to close the app or you can continue the services. But you must close those apps to save your battery life.

Other app switcher which you can use to switch between apps on android are:

AltTabApps – It is compact pack of task manager and program launcher. Which you can easily access from notification bar or press the search key for a while to configure its launch.
After launching it, you can see three tabs as in image below:

Now, you can select between Tasks, Bookmarks and Apps. Which is pretty good but has some drawbacks like you can‘t find processes and services.
AppSwipe! –  AppSwipe! is much more advanced app switcher and killer for Android phones. As it shows all types of running apps and also shows processes and services which is not possible with AltTabApps. After launching it, you can see the difference between AppSwipe and AltTabApps. You will find four different rows – Tasks, Recent Apps, Services and Processes. Here, you can select the app to close it or switch to it.

You will be surprised by its power when it comes to its Advance Task Killer option. It shows all apps, processes and services and helps you to kill them one by one.
It’s free version will not start automatically with the start of phone. What I meant here is, you have to start it manually. But, most important thing you should remember is that it doesn’t work with Froyo as task killer. The new version 2.0 Beta is also available in author’s site.
