How to Know the Destination of Shortened URLs

Around the internet short URLs are to much popular as it let you off from the long URL structure. From Twitter to WordPress or Google, all they have their won URL shortening service. It is clear that the trend of using shortened URLs is going high. There are many URL shortening services like bit.ly, goo.gl, tr.im, tinyurl.com and even WordPress have its own URL shortening service (More URL shortening services).
But did you rivet to know about the destination of the shortened URls before clicking it? It is very important to know the original address hiding behind the shortened URLs as they may contain some malicious site address that automatically starts to run some background scripts in your computer after visiting the site. Some time it may contain some bad or illegal porn sites address that you do not want to browse in front of your respected persons or children. So you should know the destination of your tiny URL before clicking on it.
There are number of services that expand the shortened URLs. LongUrl can help you to expand the shortened urls. Just paste the tiny URl and click on expand.

It will show the expanded URL with the source. Additionally it monitors the meta keywords, descriptions and character encoding type.
There is a Firefox add-on LongURL Mobile Expander that automates your workflows. After installing the add-on you can see the destination URL behind any shortened URL by placing the mouse on it. It pops up a small window containing the URL and a link to LongUrl.org. You can still see the details by visiting the main site LongUrl.org from the given link in the pop up window.

    @Luckkymak: If Facebook is blocked at your office then only the facebook url will not work for you. Try to follow this tutorial:
