How To Enable Embedded Comments In Blogger

Tanmay Google Leave a Comment

Blogger, a free weblog publishing tool from Google, is a great platform for bloggers, especially beginners. But being a free service, it comes with some limitations. One of the big glitch in Blogger, is it’s commenting system. There’s no embedded commenting system, so that users can get to know whether it’s a general comment or a reply to someone. But that won’t be a problem now as Google has just announced embedded commenting system for Blogger blogs too. (Additionally, you would also like to add social media share buttons at blogger templates.)
Though, a bit late, Google has recently announced this standard feature for Blogger. Now Blogger don’t have to look for alternatives like Discus or IntenseDebate or any other commenting system.

How To Enable Threaded Comments On Blogger?

It’s easy to activate the threaded commenting system on blogger, as you’ve to only play with few settings on your Blogger blog dashboard. Here’s how to do it?

  • Login to your Blogger Account. I’m assuming that you are using the updated interface.click on settings blogger
  • Move down to Settings as shown in the image above.
  • Under Settings, click on Posts and Comments.click on embedded comments blogger
  • In front of Comment Locations, choose Embedded Comments.

Now we are set to enjoy the Embedded Comments on our Blogger blog. But it will only work if your Blog’s Feeds are set to full, otherwise it won’t work. Here’s how to do it?

set blog feeds to full blogger

  • Under the Settings Tab, listed down in Others, Allow your Blog Posts Feed to Full.

Now the whole setup is complete, enjoy the all new embedded commenting system in Blogger blog. Blogger blogs using Discus, Intense Debate, Commentluv and other third party commenting system do not have to edit their settings.
A service which should be a standard, is announced so late. Now readers/webmasters won’t find hard to use the all new embedded commenting system launched by Google. So that’s how you can enable embedded comments on your Blogger Blog.
Any doubts, do comment them down, will surely help you out.

I did as this guide says. My settings are correct and I even cleared my cache several times, but it still doesn’t work properly. I can’t reply to the comments people leave me. The “Reply”-option, that was there before, disappeared when I altered the layout on my blog a few days ago.

I can’t get comments to show up AT ALL. Forget the threaded option, I can’t get the basic option to work!! I have a non-customized template; it used to be super customized but I wanted comments so I went back to a basic template and i can’t get it to allow comments. All of my setting as set where they are supposed to be blog feeds set to full, comments set to embedded, posts selected “allow comments”…what is going on????
