Recently Facebook has integrated a new feature called as Facebook Questions. With the help of this application you can create and ask questions from your Facebook friends and also reply the questions which are asked by your friends (Also learn about their recent launch of Facebook video calling and know how to setup Facebook video call).
Basically, there are two types or questions asked in Facebook: open ended question, in which you have to give your own answer and other is poll question (multiple choice answer) in which answers are given by choosing an option. When the question is created, you can make it public or private as well, so not only your friends but also others can see or participate in the question; but if you like to ask from limited person, you can make it private. In this case, others are not able to participate.
Sometimes you get the interesting questions and if you are agree with the others’ answer, you can like by clicking on Like option. Once you get involved in a question (like or give a new answer), when other person do the same thing; you will get a notification of that. Sometimes the list of notifications are too long and you get annoyed with these. There is no option in Facebook to hide or remove this from your news feed.
Now, Google chrome comes with a solution Hide Facebook Questions Using Chrome Extension to remove all the questions from your news feed forever.
How to hide Facebook Questions Using Chrome Extension
Open the Google chrome web browser and go the Hide Facebook Questions Using Chrome Extension page.
Download and install the chrome extension by clicking on the Install option.
Once the installation is complete, refresh the webpage and you can see the difference.
All the questions are now removed from your news feed. In future, if you like to participate in questions, use incognito mode of chrome. You can also disable the extension to participate in the questions. Always remember that the question feature is not blocked from your Facebook profile, you have just hided it.
Disable Notification When a Question Is Asked In Facebook
By making some change in the setting of Facebook profile, you can also stop email notifications when someone ask a question or you have participated in a question.
Go to Account which is on the upper-right side of the window then click on Account Settings.
After clicking Account Settings, click now on Notifications as shown in the picture below.
After clicking on Notifications, click now on Questions and uncheck all the check boxes and finally click on Save Changes button.
Now you are free! You are not going to receive any more notifications in your email id when someone like any answer or gives a new answer. Even if your friend has invited you to participate in the question, you will not get the notification email.
Hide The Question Option From The Sidebar
When you hover your mouse on the left side and go the Questions option, you can see a cross bar. After clicking on the cross sign, the question option is removed from your Facebook profile. From right now you are not going to see any question in your Facebook wall.
Remove Yourself From a Question
If you have already participated in a question and do not like to follow, you can unfollow this. You can also unvote if you have given the vote. You can also remove your like by clicking the cross option at the side of the question.
Sometimes with the Questions you get a valuable information and knowledge, but every time you do not like to see a question and answer. Specially, when you see that your news feed is full of Questions, who likes, who adds a comment on that, you might be feeling distracted with that. This is the main reason why we feel the need of this option. Until the Facebook comes with such option, follow these steps to simply avoid the questions. Hope this will help you a lot.
