Google, the internet giant, launched something similar to Google Play Gift Cards in India back in June and called it Google Play Prepaid vouchers which you had to buy from retail stores. Now adding to it, Google has finally launched the much awaited Google Play Gift Cards in India!
The gift cards would be available in 3 denominations, ₹750, ₹1000 and ₹1500. Users would be able to buy them from retail stores like Spice Hotspots, Planet M, Planet Mobiles, Sangeetha Mobiles and Vijay Sales. Apart from the retail stores, users can also buy Google Play Gift Cards In India from Snapdeal with a Cash-on-Delivery payment option.
The digital content market was struggling in India as Google Play just accepted Credit Cards and few Debit Cards. People who didn’t have option to these payment options were often not able to buy digital content. But with the launch of ‘physical Google Play Gift Cards’ people would now be able to buy digital content with cash.
For those who don’t know what Google Play Gift Card is, It is a physical card which comes with a special code which can be redeemed in your Google account and can be used to purchase apps, movies, books and other digital content.
Google says that the introduction of Google Play Gift Cards in India will help more and more people to buy what they need. With the help of Google Play Gift cards users would be even able to buy in-game contents. To promote the use of Gift Cards, Google has launched some exciting offers as well!
