Commonly the image editing tools are used to edit, rotate or convert the images. There are tons of applications like Snagit, Potato screen capture, Camtasia Studio etc. But using those application for just resizing or rotating you image is not so much handy as you are to open the image with the image editing application each time you want. XnView is an extension for Windows explorer which allows you to view, rotate, convert or edit any image from your right click context menu.
If you are a blogger then you can feel the necessity of such application to edit your images easily and quickly. More over the extension adds the facilities like Convert, Rotate, Edit IPTC in the right click menu along with the batch processing option.
How to install and use the XnView extension
At first download the extension then install it as usual. You will get an option to add the XnView option in your desktop context menu. Now you can open any folder of your Windows explorer with XnView by right clicking on it. You can also open any folder of your computer from the XnView explorer bar.
Now you can preview picture, convert that, rotate and much more. You can personalize the options to be displayed in the context menu from Tools > Options.
Generally the context menu items are:
Filename
Image Tumbnail
Resolution
Set as wallpaper
Convert
Rotate
Edit IPTC
You can convert any picture in the known image format directly from the right-click context menu. Just right click on the picture and then choose “Convert into> the format that you want”.
There is another utility of this extension. It provides the facility of screen capturing which is always needed for the blogger. Though there are many screen capture software available like Snagit but it is light wait and easy to use.
Overall it allows you to perform multiple task from the explorer menu and does not give any stress to your Operating System.
